The Grief Sanctuary – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The Grief Sanctuary. By booking a session, purchasing a service, or engaging with any offerings (including digital products) provided by Donna Marie Ross through The Grief Sanctuary, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

Please read these carefully.

The Grief Sanctuary provides grief support, counselling-style conversations, coaching, education, and emotional support informed by lived experience and professional training.

These services are:

• Supportive and non-clinical
• Not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or emergency care
• Not diagnostic or prescriptive

If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm, suicidal ideation, or are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services or a crisis support line immediately.

Donna Marie Ross is not acting as a medical doctor, psychiatrist, or psychologist unless explicitly stated in writing.

Services offered through The Grief Sanctuary:

• Do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment
• Do not replace advice from qualified healthcare professionals
• Focus on emotional support, grief integration, insight, and personal healing

You acknowledge full responsibility for your wellbeing and choices before, during, and after sessions.

Your privacy is deeply respected.

All sessions are confidential except where disclosure is required by law, including but not limited to:

• Risk of harm to yourself or others
• Abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable person
• Legal obligations requiring disclosure

No session content will be shared without your consent.

• Payment is required in full or as agreed to secure your booking
• Session packages must be paid according to the agreed schedule
• Prices are listed in AUD unless otherwise stated

Bookings are confirmed only once payment (or deposit, if applicable) is received.

Your session time is reserved specifically for you.

• At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule
• Cancellations within 24 hours, or non-attendance, may result in the session being forfeited
• Exceptions may be made at discretion in cases of genuine emergency

Repeated late cancellations may result in refusal of future bookings.

• Session packages are non-transferable
• Unused sessions must be used within the agreed timeframe
• Packages are designed to support continuity and depth of care

No refunds are provided for partially used packages unless required by Australian Consumer Law.

Grief work can bring up strong emotions.

By engaging with The Grief Sanctuary, you acknowledge that:

• Emotional discomfort may arise
• Healing is not linear
• Results cannot be guaranteed

You agree to take responsibility for seeking additional support if needed between sessions.

The Grief Sanctuary is a safe, respectful space.

Abusive, threatening, manipulative, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
The Grief Sanctuary reserves the right to terminate services immediately if boundaries are breached.

Either party may end the working relationship at any time.

The Grief Sanctuary reserves the right to discontinue services if:

• Boundaries are repeatedly crossed
• Payments are not honoured
• The service is no longer appropriate for your needs

Where possible, referrals to alternative support may be offered.

All content, frameworks, worksheets, written materials, session structures, and resources remain the intellectual property of Donna Marie Ross and The Grief Sanctuary.

These materials may not be copied, shared, reproduced, sold, or distributed without written permission.

The Grief Sanctuary offers digital products including, but not limited to, eBooks, workbooks, PDFs, guides, journals, and downloadable resources.

By purchasing or downloading a digital product, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Digital products are provided for educational, supportive, and personal use only
• Digital products do not constitute medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment
• No specific outcomes or results are guaranteed
• You are responsible for how you engage with and apply the content

Due to the nature of digital products:

• All eBook and digital product sales are final
• No refunds, exchanges, or cancellations are provided once access has been granted, except as required under Australian Consumer Law

Each purchase grants a single-user, non-transferable licence.

You may not:

• Share, forward, copy, upload, or distribute the content
• Sell, reproduce, or repurpose the material
• Use the content for training, facilitation, or commercial purposes

without prior written consent.

Some digital content explores sensitive grief-related themes.

By purchasing, you acknowledge that:

• Emotional responses may arise
• You are encouraged to engage at your own pace
• You will seek additional support if needed

Digital products are not intended to replace one-on-one support or crisis services.

For phone or Zoom sessions:

• You are responsible for ensuring privacy at your location
• Technical issues outside of our control may occur
• Reasonable attempts will be made to continue or reschedule if disruptions arise

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The Grief Sanctuary is not liable for outcomes, decisions, or actions taken as a result of services provided
• All services and products are offered in good faith, with compassion and care

Participation is voluntary.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.
The current version will always be available on The Grief Sanctuary website.
